Handwara Police busted Pakistan Sponsored Narco-Terror module, 03 terrorist associates arrested
21 kgs of Heroin, 1.34 Crores hard cash & 01 cash counting machine recovered
Handwara, June 11.2020.
On a reliable information, Handwara Police have busted a Pakistan sponsored Narco - terror module and arrested three terrorist associates of proscribed terror outfit LeT identified as;
1. Ab Moomin Peer S/o Late Mohd Ashraf Peer R/o Waskura Handwara.
2. Islam Ul Haq Peer S/o Mohd Ashraf Peer R/o Waskura Handwara.
3. Syed Iftikhar Indrabi S/o Syed Ateequlla Indrabi R/o Laribal Rajwar Handwara from Handwara.
Incriminating materials, including; Cash Rs.1.34 Crores and narcotic substance Heroine 21kg (worth 100 Cr. Market value) and 01 cash counting machine were recovered from their possession.
The other absconded involved persons have been identified and efforts are being taken to arrest .
The module was in close connection with Pakistan based terror handlers and were involved in drug trade & assisting financially to active terrorists of proscribed terror outfit LeT. The recoveries also exposed the inter connection between drug dealers and terrorists.
The module was working for LeT outfit to strengthen their activities in the valley and were misguiding and motivating the local youth of the Valley to join militant ranks.
A Case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation has been taken up.A special investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to ascertain the details of accused's ties with terrorist outfits, radicals, smugglers and other anti national elements...
