Block Development Chairman Handwara tenders resignation
Handwara, Sep 24: Block Development Chairman Handwara Firdous Ahmad Sofi along with several sarpanchs tendered mass resignation on Thursday late evening.
According to the resignation a copy of which lies with Greater Kashmir states that the council was not pleased with the working of concerned departments so council unanimously tenders resignation.
Deputy Sarpanch Gonipora Handwara Abdul Aziz K huroo while talking to Greater Kashmir said that not a single department honours and takes on board the elected representatives. "We have been sabotaged from day one by all the departments and not a single official take us seriously, so out of protest we have tendered resignation," said Khuroo.
Meanwhile Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara said that he has invited the agitated representatives to his office tomorrow to sort out the things.
