Two kidneping cases involving an oil company were two oil employees were kidnapped by a group of 15 armed men. Pranab Kumar Gogoi and Ram Kumar were abducted by armed men while they were engaged in drilling for oil at Kuip, a private oil company in the Khumchai Kha area of Dayon. Pranab Kumar Gogoi's house is in Shivsagar and Ram Kumar's house is in Bihar. The news of the incident has caused a stir in Shivsagar, the hometown of Pranab Kumar Gogoi. Also, Gogoi's family is worried. Gogoi's elderly parents, wife, three-year-old daughter and only a son are now worried about Gogoi's safety. Pranab Kumar Gogoi, a resident of Habiram Bara Path in Shivsagar, had earlier been working in Mizoram.
