41 people reportedly died in a migrant shipwreck near the Italian island of Lampedusa.
The migrant boat left Sfax, Tunisia several days ago and sank on its way to Italy. The migrants were wearing life jackets and were able to crawl on a remnants of a different shipwrecked boat, according to the Red Cross.
The four survivors, originally from the Ivory Coast and Guinea, reached Lampedusa on Wednesday.The survivors - three men and a woman - told rescuers that including three children they were on a boat carrying 45 people.
On Sunday, three bodies were recovered, including a 3-year-old child and a pregnant woman, and at least 30 people were missing after two migrant boats sank off the Italian island, the Italian Coast Guard said in a statement.
As per Tunisian authorities say Sfax, a port city about 80 miles (130km) from Lampedusa, is a popular gateway for migrants seeking safety and a better life in Europe.
